I came across an article via Crunk & Disorderly (oh, how I love that site) that related to my post about the Ciara video featuring Justin Timberlake. While my post only danced over some of the issues I have with the video (mainly that JT does nothing but stand there while Ciara is performing trick after trick after trick*, seemingly for his approval/attention), the article on Soul Bounce goes into depth on the JT + Black women tip.

Do I agree with everything she says? No. Did the article make me stop and think? Yes. And that’s why I’m sharing it with you, dear readers. That, and the fact that it touches on one of my greatest personal fears (which people have seen fit to mock, hence why I’m not sharing it, no matter how much I appreciate the four of you).

* No, I’m not recanting my desire to learn those tricks. That would be a ginormous lie.

With celebrities constantly taking matters into their own hands via their own blogs and Twitters (John Mayer is by far my favorite celebrity Twitter-er), it seems that reporters don’t even bother asking them anything anymore. They just hop on over to the celeb’s page and write up a story. Amazing. I want a job like that one.  Seriously.
